Fine Print, Made Clear

What's Generally Not Covered

Extended protection plans are designed to cover mechanical breakdowns, not routine upkeep or damage from misuse. Here's what typically falls outside standard coverage across all our plans:

  • Routine maintenance items — oil changes, filters, wiper blades, brake pads from normal wear
  • Pre-existing conditions or damage present before the plan's effective date
  • Damage from accidents, collisions, flooding, or fire (these fall under motor insurance, not warranty)
  • Cosmetic damage — paint, upholstery, dents, and scratches
  • Failures caused by unauthorized modifications or non-approved parts
  • Neglect — damage resulting from skipped scheduled servicing

How A Claim Gets Settled

1
Visit A Partner Garage

Take your vehicle to any of our 1,200+ certified workshops, or call us to arrange a tow if needed.

2
Diagnosis & Estimate

The workshop diagnoses the issue and submits a repair estimate directly to our claims team for approval.

3
We Review & Approve

Most claims are reviewed and approved within a few hours, checked against your plan's covered components.

4
Cashless Settlement

We pay the workshop directly for the covered amount — you only pay your deductible, if any.

Who Can Apply

Petrol, diesel, CNG, hybrid, and electric passenger vehicles up to 10 years old or 150,000 km, registered anywhere in India.

Waiting Period

A standard 30-day / 1,000 km waiting period applies from the plan start date before mechanical claims can be filed.

Renewal

Plans renew annually. Renewing before expiry keeps your coverage continuous with no new waiting period.

Common Questions

Protection Plan FAQ

Motor insurance covers accidents, theft, and third-party liability as required by law. Our protection plans are extended warranties that cover mechanical and electrical breakdowns from normal use — the two are complementary, not substitutes.

You can upgrade from Powertrain Guard to Bumper-to-Bumper at renewal by paying the price difference. Mid-term upgrades are handled case-by-case — contact support and we'll walk you through it.

No hard cap on the number of claims — coverage is subject to your plan's total payout limit for the policy term, detailed in your plan document at signup.

Routine servicing can be done anywhere, as long as you maintain service records. For warranty claims, repairs at our 1,200+ partner workshops are cashless; non-partner garages may require reimbursement-based claims.

Powertrain Guard and Bumper-to-Bumper plans are transferable to the new owner for a small administration fee, which can meaningfully boost your vehicle's resale value.
